Leadership Torrance by Aurelio Mattucci

I have learned today about Leadership Torrance and I am really excited to start the 7 month program. According to the Torrance Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Torrance is one of the most educational programs the city offers. The program also includes a two day round trip to Sacramento. The program is open to all but it is highly recommended to Torrance City Council candidates like me. We get to learn about Torrance from the inside out. Can't wait to start.

The Mattucci Project by Aurelio Mattucci

What is the "Mattucci Project"?

The Mattucci Project helps property owners maintain and possibly increase their property values. The way Mattucci Project works is that a group of volunteers will come by your street and pick up trash, remove weeds, trim overgrowth and hand out educational materials.

Most property owners believe this is usually what we pay taxes for, but in cities like Los Angeles there is the Los Angeles Municipal Code, Chapter VI, Section 62.104 which puts the responsibility on the property owner. Also, with budget cuts and overall economic conditions we feel that all of us need to stay involved with maintaining and improving our streets, one curb at a time. Nothing wrong with picking up the neighbors trash. Our goal is to encourage property owners to start helping each other in maintaining curb appeal.

Remember that most prospective buyers or renters will make a decision about the property by the time they drive up to it. Businesses also tend to do better in cleaner and more appealing conditions. Better business, means more jobs.

But more importantly we want to help those who can't afford or aren't capable of taking care of their front yards. We help both residential and commercial property owners or occupants.

Our philosophy is that it doesn't matter whose trash it is, or who is responsible for what. We just take care of it and encourage others to do the same.

Torrance Chamber of Commerce - Networking at Noon

The Torrance Chamber of Commerce puts together what is called "Networking at Noon". It is an amazing way to meet local business owners and network, network, and network. Today's event was held at the Sizzler's on Sepulveda in Torrance CA. About 60 people showed up from over 50 different companies. What is truly efective about the networking lunch is that you get to give a 30 second introduction of you and your business. In the past 3 months I have met more local business owners than I have my whole life. I have stacks of business cards and have given out hundreds of cards of my own.
Thank you Chamber

Torrance Malaga Bank Ribbon Cutting

Today I was at Malaga Bank's ribbon cutting of their new branch in Torrance CA. Malaga Bank is a local bank operating 5 locations in the South Bay. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and how they treat you like family. I was happy to be there representing the Torrance Chamber of Commerce. If I had to take a guess as to how many people stopped by, I would say at least 100 or maybe more. The food was awesome and there was also a bar.  Myself and the City of Torrance welcomes Malaga Bank and wishes them great success. Councilmemeber Bill Sutherland was also present at the ribbon cutting along with many other supporters.

WalMart now open in Torrance CA

Lead by Example by Aurelio Mattucci

I have always been a firm believer in leading by example.  Both politically and socially we must show what we will do instead of just talking about it. There is no doubt that our federal, state and local governments are facing very difficult challenges now and in the near future.  We must start with our local issues and work our way up. The fact that we are forced to rely on government, to me, is not the American way.  Let's bring back financial responsibility and stop spending money so wastefully.  The formula is simple and should be implemented immediately. It's not so much the amount of revenue we raise, but how that revenue is being spent.

Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci attends Torrance WalMart's Grand Opening

Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci attends Torrance WalMart Grand Opening September 12th 2014. There was an amazing pre-opening presentation by Store Manager Tony Amirikhas and Vice President Southern California Region 57, Jerry Spencer. Also on the podium Mayor Frank Scotto gave his customary "Welcome Speech". As many have already heard, WalMart is often under fire for taking over n...

eighborhoods and destroying small business. I would have to disagree with that considering they are no different than Kmart or Target. One must ask "Is this a Union Thing?" A big box retailer will always chip away at the Old School local small business, but it doesn't have to be that way. WalMart offers seminars to help teach local small business owners how to feed off of WalMart instead of trying to fight it. I personally asked Store manager Tony Amirikhas about this program and he said it is a very successful program that truly helps neighboring retailers succeed.

Today was a great experience for me and I am glad WalMart chose Torrance as a friendly city to do business in. Torrance needs the revenue and jobs to help sustain the lifestyle we are used to in this wonderful city.

Aurelio Mattucci for Torrance City Council Mission Statement

Aurelio Mattucci for Torrance City Council
Election June 3rd, 2014

Mission Statement

Public safety and economic stability is among my priorities. I want the city to be fiscally responsible and do what it can to cut wasteful spending without having to cut any jobs. I do believe in energy conservation and helping businesses save money on utilities without imposing additional restrictions on them. I do believe we need to plant more trees in our residential neighborhoods and make our commercial areas more desirable to new business growth. We need to fill up our commercial vacancies by offering new businesses true incentives and help out our many existing and loyal small businesses succeed and not just survive. We need to be truly business friendly and not just say we are. I do hope I can get your support and the support of your friends and family. My priority is to help maintain and promote family unity and the safety of all the families that live in this wonderful city.

Aurelio Mattucci dedicated to filling Torrance Vacancies

Aurelio Mattucci of Mattucci Real Estate announced that he has put together a small group of Top Commercial agents to concentrate on filling vacancies in the City of Torrance. The scope of the project is to work with the City authorities in establishing which are the best matches for each property and seeking those types of businesses. Aurelio also wants to create incentives for new businesses when they relocate their tax dollars to the City of Torrance. As always we remind the people of Torrance to support local business owners as they are part of the reason we have such a beautiful city.

Aurelio Mattucci is also a candidate for Torrance City Council and has a great following. Many Torrance residents and business owners agree; Aurelio Mattucci is the right man for the job.

Torrance City Council race is starting early

Torrance City Council race is starting early according to prospective candidate Aurelio Mattucci. Election June 3rd 2014.

Believe in Local Politics

I believe in our democracy and may the best Presidential candidate win. We shouldn't fight over who is the better man. We should get involved locally to make a direct impact on our community. No matter what side of the fence you are on, remember we are all Americans, and we should stick together as a country and as a community. Go out and help your neighbor and pick up some trash from your loc...
al gutters. Go and figure out how your city can become a better city. I believe the Mayor and Council Members of your city can make more of an immediate impact on your surroundings than what the President can. Local government is the foundation of our democracy. It all starts from your front door step. Don't wait for miracles, be the miracle.
