Mattucci Means Business: The Best Candidate for Torrance City Council

Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci is ready to take office and take charge. His plan for the business development of Torrance includes bringing in new business and supporting the small or large businesses already here. 

Mattucci is a man who personally gets involved with helping the community and listening to business owners. He founded a non-profit all volunteer organization, The Mattucci Project, that is dedicated to beautifying Torrance, one lot at a time. The Mattucci Project volunteers, Aurelio included, go to homes or businesses in need to clear away trash, weeds, debris, to trim overgrowth and generally improve the appearance of the property. 

In addition to literally getting his hands dirty with unglamorous hard work, Aurelio Mattucci has taken the time to get to know his neighbors and fellow businesspeople. Over the past 3 years he has visited over 3,800 businesses to hear individual needs and concerns, asking “What would you like improved in the city?” He heard every answer and is committed to addressing all those concerns when elected to Torrance City Council.

Supporting business, improving curb appealprotecting families and being responsible with budgeting are high priority issues for Aurelio Mattucci, just as these are important to all those who live, work or play in the City of Torrance, California.

The following Statewide measures will also appear on the June 3rd ballot.

Measure 41 - Veterans Housing and Homeless Prevention Bond Act of 2014.
Authorizes $600 million in general obligation bonds for affordable multifamily supportive housing to relieve homelessness, affordable transitional housing, affordable rental housing, or related facilities for veterans and their families. Fiscal impact: Increased state bond costs averaging about $50 million annually over 15 years.

Measure 42 - Public Records. Open Meetings. State reimbursement to local agencies. Legislative Constitutional Amendment. 
Requires local government compliance with laws providing for public access to local government body meetings and records of government officials. Eliminates reimbursement for costs of compliance. Fiscal Impact: Reductions in state payments to local governments in the tens of millions of dollars annually. Potential future costs on local governments in the tens of millions of dollars annually.
