"The City of Torrance, CA signed an agreement with Clean Energy to construct, own and operate a private CNG fueling facility for up to 70 buses and over 20 trash trucks. "
I am all in favor of becoming a "GREEN" city but I have to say that spending money on buses that hardly anyone rides and fueling stations that aren't even open to the public is a complete waste of money. If the city of Torrance had money to spend, I'd rather see it go towards fixing streets and sidewalks instead of patching them all the time. I'd also like to see some beautification take place both in our residential and commercial areas. Let's face it, public transportation is great if people use it, but the reality of it is that Torrance has very few riders. I believe the money could be better managed, especially during times where money is hard to come by. Again, I am all in favor of saving energy, this particular project just came at the wrong time.

Aurelio Mattucci (Candidate for Torrance City Council) attends the ribbon cutting of Staybridge Suites in Torrance

Yesterday I attended the ribbon cutting of the Newly Improved Staybridge Suites Hotel in Torrance. These types of businesses bring much needed revenue to the city and we must encourage companies to move their business to our wonderful city. www.facebook.com/aureliomattucciforoffice
