Aurelio Mattucci talks about Del Amo Fashion Center Mall Security

Del Amo Fashion Center Mall Security is and has always been a little bit of a negative force at the mall. They are known for flexing their muscles at the wrong people. They seem to act tough with the clean cut guys and scare off good customers from the center. I personally had an incident at 11:45 PM on May 29th 2013. After playing indoor soccer at the Galaxy Center on Maple Ave in Torrance, myself along with my fellow team mates (12 of us) always head out to the Lazy Dog Cafe. On average I'd say we spend about $250 every Wednesday night. When we were leaving one of my friends 38 year old Oscar Caruso owner of First Class Auto Body (Local merchant) decided he was going to prove his youth by jumping over a trash can. Well he didn't quite make it, he knocked the trash can over but immediately picked it back up. Long story short we were surrounded by 8 mall security guys and told we had to leave the property immediately or be arrested for trespassing. All of us including my 76 year old father were thrown off the property. The security guys treated us like criminals and humiliated us in front of people. What a shame that Del Amo Fasion Center's Simon company has to hire such incompetent people to run their security. A trash can knocked over by accident is no reason to kick 12 people off the property. The security people at Del Amo Fasion Center need to be re-trained or given a permanent vacation. They are unreasonable, under trained, power trip idiots. Need I say more?
By the way they refused to give me their names but they said they were "Unit 36"
I want to support and will continue to support local businesses but this really puts a bad taste in my mouth. The owners of the mall have been notified of the incident and I do hope they correct the attitude.

CLEAN 100 FEET AROUND YOU AND YOU WILL SEE THE CITY CHANGE IMMEDIATELY...... Aurelio Mattucci

What is the "Mattucci Project"?
We are volunteers helping eachother build cleaner and safer communities. The way the Mattucci Project works is that a group of volunteers will come by your street and pick up trash, remove weeds, trim overgrowth and hand out educational materials.
Most property owners believe this is usually what we pay taxes for, but in cities like Los Angeles there is the Los Angeles Municipal Code, Chapter VI, Section 62.104 which puts the responsibility on the property owner. Also, with budget cuts and overall economic conditions we feel that all of us need to stay involved with maintaining and improving our streets, one curb at a time. Nothing wrong with picking up the neighbors trash. Our goal is to encourage property owners to start helping each other in maintaining curb appeal.
Remember that most prospective buyers or renters will make a decision about the property by the time they drive up to it. Businesses also tend to do better in cleaner and more appealing conditions. Better business, means more jobs.
But more importantly we want to help those who can't afford or aren't capable of taking care of their front yards. We help both residential and commercial property owners or occupants.
Our philosophy is that it doesn't matter whose trash it is, or who is responsible for what. We just take care of it and encourage others to do the same.
If you'd like to get involved please contact Mattucci Real Estate info@

Aurelio Mattucci visits hundreds of Torrance Business Owners

Within the last two weeks Torrance City Council candidate Aurelio Mattucci visited over 400 local Torrance Business Owners and has made it clear that the city will become a working partner in the lives of these hard working families and that the permiting process shall be streamlined. Aurelio Mattucci added that small businesses are the heart beat of the city and we can't stop the heart from beating or the city will die. Parking in the Old Torrance area of the city is also something that Old Torrance business owners are all talking about. A good solution is building parking lots along Cabrillo that would serve as dedicated tenant and employee parking lots for the hundreds of employees working the downtown area.

Description
I am a candidate for Torrance City Council. Running for office has been a long time dream of mine. I have never been more motivated in achieving this endeavor. I feel that in order to truly make positive changes in our city one must make them as a whole, work together and get involved at all levels. These are challenging times for us, as a country and as a city, with the redevelopment funds gone, we are facing the same fate as many other municipalities , loss of businesses that directly translate to less revenue for our city, loss of local jobs and more of our families losing their homes. Less revenue for the city means the potential loss of many programs, services and activities that have shaped Torrance throughout the years. It's not a matter of Right or Left, it's a matter of Right or Wrong. I will do what is Right for the people of Torrance. I will listen to your concerns and suggestions. I will be truly a public servant, serving the people of Torrance and the many businesses that help support and maintain this wonderful city that I am proud to say is my home.

Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci wants to see a full size North Torrance Police Station

Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci wants to see a full size North Torrance Police Station. Crime in North Torrance needs to be chopped and stopped at the root.  A study needs to be done on how much is it costing the tax payers to send police to North Torrance. I know we have a few sub-stations, but the cost of patrolling North Torrance is much higher since the majority of the police force is in Central Torrance and most of the crime is in other parts of Torrance. We must also educate our citizens and encourage crime prevention programs such as the Neighborhood Watch. As your future councilman I will make public safety a priority. If we can't feel safe in our own homes, we can't enjoy them. Torrance City Council must always look after the well being of the citizens at any cost. This is not about feeding Unions, it's about feeling and being safe in our neighborhoods. Find out more about what I believe in at http://www.voteformattucci.com

Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci visits hundreds of Torrance businesses

This past week I visited over 260 Torrance businesses and it was amazing. Met hundreds of hard working people, some live here in Torrance and some din't but they all love Torrance. Everyone had a story to tell. One main thing they all had in common is the fact that they need YOU to help support them. I heard a lot of "Business is tough". I encourage all to please help support the many local businesses. They need you as much as we need them. "Live Torrance, Shop Torrance"

City of Torrance Issues

Some of the issues I am most concerned about is public safety, especially in North Torrance. I believe we need to invest in our security and open a North Torrance Police Station. This would save on fuel and time. Having a North Torrance Police Station would also potentially cut down on response time. We also have to encourage more public involvement in preventing crime. Another issue I see is the parking situation in Old Torrance. As much as there is parking on the outskirts the issue stands on Sartori. I have met with many Downtown business owners and they all complain that the cars parked there are not shoppers. I agree, the spaces are being filled by employees and possibly residents from the condo complex. Other issues I see is the curb appeal. I have documented dozens of troubled locations including Hawthorne Blvd in Walteria. There is no reason weeds need to rule our City Landscape. I also plan on proposing a Clean City Ordinance that would allow the City to act on Eye Sore and troubled properties. It is not a way to punish property owners, it is an ordinance that would actually help the community and would be run strictly by volunteers. Torrance Election

Torrance Election is just one year away and things are already starting to heat up. Torrance City Council candidate Aurelio Mattucci is keeping a cool head, his thought is that we can't all fight eachother, especially because three of us will need to work together down the line.

Torrance Elections - Candidate Aurelio Mattucci

Torrance City Council

Torrance City Council is made up of six councilmembers. Aurelio Mattucci is seeking on of those seats. He is one of currently six candidates ready to throw their hats in the ring. Aurelio Mattucci wants to be more involved with his community and in his own words he said "What better way to be involved in your community than to be a public servant and sit as a council member"

Who is running for Torrance City Council?

Aurelio Mattucci, owner of Mattucci Real Estate and founder of the Mattucci Project is one of currently six candidates for Torrance City Council. Elections in Torrance are at large and there are no districts. Also, there is no run off election and this saves the tax payers of Torrance about $200,000 per election. Cities like Redondo Beach spend quite a bit on run off elections. They just had one for a handful of candidates.

Torrance is a relatively large city and is the sixth largest city in Los Angeles County. With 150,000 residents and an election that is "At Large" doorknocking every voter is pretty much impossible if you are doing it alone. The approach taken by Torrance City Council candidate Aurelio Mattucci isn't new, but it works. Expect him to come to your door soon :)

Torrance Politics at it's best by Torrance City Council Candidate Aurelio Mattucci

Torrance politics have evolved over the years but are pretty much in line with the rest of the country. One might say that Torrance is relatively conservative but I must say that Torrance is much more diverse than one would think. I have been visiting hundreds of businesses in Torrance and I had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of business owners from all walks of life. My theory is that it's not about Right or Left, it's about Right or Wrong. I will always push to do what is Right for the well being of Torrance residents and businesses. We must work together in bringing a balance to our city and find a common ground where energy is better spent on real issues. I love Torrance, I just hope Torrance loves me.
