Pat Furey, Mayor of Torrance, CA. will see some stiff competition in 2018

Current city of Torrance, CA Mayor Pat Furey, has already filed his papers to run in the June 2018 election, but not alone.  He has already been challenged by three other candidates, of which one of them is Tom Brewer, a former councilman with lots of supporters.  One must remember that in 2014, Pat Furey won with just a little over 40% of the votes.  This happens in Torrance, because we don't have a runoff election.  Whomever gets more votes, wins.  It is common knowledge that Tom Brewer lost because his votes were split between two Conservative candidates, Bill Sutherland, and himself.  Neither Tom, nor the local Conservatives, want to repeat another political flop like the one we had three years ago.  It is said that one of the mayoral candidates, Ron Riggs, has announced that he will drop out of the Mayor's race to leave an open path for fellow Conservative, Tom Brewer.

On the City Council side, we currently have Tim Goodrich, Kurt Weideman, and Aurelio Mattucci.  Ron Riggs may be joining the lineup soon.

Find out who has filed their papers by visiting http://www.torrancevotes.org/campaign-finance-disclosures.html

For "A Cleaner and Safer Torrance" please vote Aurelio Mattucci, on June 5, 2018
